Kick off the Memorial Day weekend with the Red, White & Booze cocktail! This multi layered cocktail is not only impressive, but also delicious. With the flavors of strawberry (red layer), lemon coconut (white layer) and orange (blue layer) this patriotic cocktail will start the weekend off right. I used Armen’s Barrels Florena Diamond Organic Vodka for this cocktail, and it is excellent. Armenian crafted with soul in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this high-quality vodka is made with organic yellow corn, distilled 6 times and filtered through coconut shell activated carbon. Ingredients – Serves 2
For the red layer
- 1 cup Frozen Strawberries
- 2 oz Grenadine
- 1 oz Vodka (Armen’s Barrels)
- 1 cup crushed ice
For the white layer
- 1 oz Vodka
- 2 oz Lemonade
- 2 oz Cream of Coconut
- 2 cups crushed ice
For the blue layer
- 2 oz Blue Curacao
- 1 oz Vodka
- 2 cups crushed ice
Method
- Make the red layer. Add the strawberries, grenadine, vodka and crushed ice to a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into 2 hurricane glasses (you may need a spoon) divided evenly. Place glasses into the freezer immediately. Rinse and dry the blender jar.
- Make the white layer. Add the vodka, lemonade, coconut cream and crushed ice into the clean blender jar. Blend until smooth. Pour the white layer evenly into the two glasses from the freezer. Place glasses back in the freezer. Rinse and dry the blender jar.
- Make the blue layer. Add the Blue Curacao, vodka and crushed ice into the clean blender jar. Blend until smooth. Pour/spoon the blue layer onto the white layer. Add a straw. Cheers!
